Step 1: Walk Into Your Garage and Snap a Few Photos
You don't need to clean anything. You don't need to move a single box. Just grab your phone.
Walk into your garage and take 4 or more photos: One picture of each complete wall (if possible), a picture of the space above your garage door, and a picture of entryway doors or other obstacles. That's it - that is typically enough information to make a great custom shelving design.
Your photos are the raw material for your custom 3D design.
If you want to go above and beyond, take a video. Slowly pan around your garage and show us all of the walls, above the garage door, and any obstacles. If you like, you can also narrate your thoughts and goals.
"I would like to have a home gym on this side of the garage." Or, "I need to fit both cars in here: I have a [make and model] and my spouse has a [make and model]."
Neither the video nor the narration is required, but more information will make your design more precise. Don't worry - if the Designers have any questions they will ask.
Step 2: Send the Images to Top Tier Shelving Co. (Text or Email Us)
No apps, no uploads, no accounts to create.

You don't even have to know what size shelves you want. We will figure that out for you. If you would like to email your pictures, please send them to:

If we ever need a measurement, it's usually something quick. "Can you measure the space next to the garage door?" or "How tall are your ceilings?" But, most of the time, we can get by with only the photos.
Step 3: We Build a 3D Model of Your Garage
This isn't a template. It's not drag-and-drop. And it's not the sale layout we send to everyone.
We recreate YOUR garage, from scratch, in 3D:
- Your walls
- Your ceiling height
- Your doors, windows, water heaters, electrical panels, and anything else in the way
Once the room is modeled, we digitally install Top Tier Shelving using the sizes, depths, and configurations that make sense for your space.
Our shelving is adaptable to your stud layout, so your 3D model shows a realistic, ready-to-build version of how it will look in real life.
Step 4: Get Your Thoughtful 3D Designs - Usually Within 24 Hours
We send your finished designs right back via text or email - whichever method you used to contact us.
Most customers get them THE SAME DAY - 90% of our customers get 3D images back within FOUR HOURS. (Building your garage in 3D takes time, and we will let you know when you can expect our designs when you text or email.)
